TTI Environmental, Inc. is an integrated environmental services contractor and consulting firm. TTI services government, industrial, commercial, academic, financial, and private clients nationwide and is headquartered in Moorestown, New Jersey. We are looking for qualified applicants to join our team, now hiring for Asbestos Safety Technician (AST) /NJ for the Industrial Hygiene Division. This is an on-site position – working out of TTI’s office and client’s sites.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects
- Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint and indoor air quality
- Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint, and mold
- Maintains, operates, and calibrates a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
- Technical report writing and interpretation of analytical data
- Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
- Timeliness, time management, meeting deadlines and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
Qualifications:
- Required education: High School Diploma, mechanical/trade school
- New Jersey Asbestos Safety Technician Registration required
- Current EPA/AHERA building inspector accreditation preferable
- Lead licenses preferable
Skill/Experience:
- Minimum years of experience: 1-3
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
- Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential
- Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment and use ladders
- Computer skills required: proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
- Willingness to learn, be trained and obtain various certifications
- Driven to follow an outlined three-year career path
- Some travel required
- Willing to work limited weekends and second shift
