William P. Dolan

William P. Dolan is the CEO and the major shareholder of TTI Environmental. He has been with the company since its inception in 1985 and has had the role of management of environmental services since 1971. Under business activities he is responsible for the requisite financial expertise including banking and bonding relationships, business development and corporate management. Mr. Dolan brings a wide range of experiences to the role of environmental management, which includes air pollution testing (point source and fugitive), analytical chemistry, field sampling of air, soil and water matrices, and industrial hygiene services. Mr. Dolan is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he specialized in Russian affairs. He has held positions in industry and government as a chemist and metallurgist for Fairchild Camera and Instruments Corp, as a scientist for the Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and as a chemist for the E.I. DuPont de Nemours.

Mr. Dolan graduated from the University of Maryland B.S. in Chemistry and received his law degree from the School of Law of Concord University. He also holds a Masters Certificate in federal contracting from Villanova University. He is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the National Contract Managers Association (NCMA).

Mr. Durand is the President and a Shareholder of TTI and oversees the performance of environmental consulting and contracting services. He is licensed by the State of New Jersey as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP), a NJDEP Subsurface Evaluator, and is a senior level Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) with extensive experience in environmental remediation, regulatory compliance, health and safety and emergency response. Mr. Durand possesses a wide range of technical skills and in-depth knowledge of remedial investigations, regulatory compliance, tank management services and hazardous waste cleanup. He presents technical topics nationally at conferences such as those held by American Society of Safety Engineers, Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials, Air & Waste Management Association and American Society of Non-destructive Testing. Prior to TTI, Mr. Durand worked for a civil engineering firm, a regional utility authority and an environmental laboratory. Joining TTI as a Project Manager, he later became Director of Environmental Consulting Division and President.

Mr. Durand receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, from Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. He is an active member and former President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (ACHMM), a member of American Coatings Association (ACA), Environmental Committee, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE),  License Site Remediation Professional Association (LSRPA), Builders League of Southern New Jersey (BLSJ), Environmental Bankers Association (EBA),  Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (CHMM), New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO), Pennsylvania Chemistry and Industry Council (PCIC),  Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and Society of Women Environment Professionals (SWEP). Mr. Durand directs the operating divisions of TTI, oversees the company’s business development activities and leads the company’s safety program. Mr. Durand presents technical topics nationally at conferences such as those held by American Society of Safety Engineers, Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials, Air & Waste Management Association and American Society of Non-Destructive Testing and at TTI’s Environmental Banker Annual Seminars.

James Guilardi
Director of Industrial Hygiene

As Director of Industrial Hygiene, Mr. Guilardi manages all aspects of asbestos, lead and mold project oversight from initial inspections/monitoring services to sampling and final report reviews. Responsibilities include implementation of department budget, field staff supervision and training, sales, invoicing, quality control and project management. He is responsible for coordinating consulting services, management plans, specification development, specific surveys, technical guidance to facility management, and development and presentation of client employee training programs. Mr. Guilardi has extensive experience in complex asbestos, lead and mold issues and performs a wide variety of consulting and abatement planning services. He provides contract project management and serves as client liaison and intermediary between local, state and federal regulatory agencies and facility owners. Mr. Guilardi has prior experience as a field service technician and project manager for AWI and a privately owned environmental company.

Mr. Guilardi received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Glassboro State College. Mr. Guilardi maintains numerous certifications including NSEPA/AHERA/Pennsylvania, Asbestos Abatement Project Designer and Management Planner, Philadelphia Asbestos Project Inspector, Asbestos Investigator and Delaware Project Monitor.

Kristin Heimburger, LSRP

Ms. Heimburger is the Director of the Environmental Consulting Division and a State of New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP).  She is responsible for the staff supervision and management of the department. Responsibilities include budgets, direct sales, invoicing, reviews, quality control, proposal and cost estimating, Due Diligence projects, and federal and state remediation projects. She has extensive experience with regulatory agencies including NJDEP, NYSDEC, PADEP, VADEQ, DNREC and MDDNR. Ms. Heimburger performs a wide variety of environmental tasks including gas station closures, industrial site cleanups, environmental impact assessments, vapor intrusion assessments, pesticide remediations, historic fill investigations, and underground storage tank closures. Prior to TTI, Ms. Heimburger worked for the Environmental Management Assistance Program (EMAP), a non-profit organization affiliated with PADEP, where she teamed with environmental scientists and engineers to perform energy audits for small businesses in efforts to reduce energy use and carbon footprint.

Ms. Heimburger holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Scranton. Ms. Heimburger is a NJDEP licensed Subsurface Evaluator and maintains her UST Closure Certification. She also maintains her USEPA/AHERA/PA Asbestos Building Inspector Certification. She is an active member of the Builders League of South Jersey, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP), and the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional’s Network.

Scott Nowicki
Director of Inspection Services

As Director of Inspection Services for TTI, Mr. Nowicki is responsible for project planning and supervision of testing services and inspections performed on aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), pressure Vessels, process piping and new equipment systems. Mr. Nowicki’s responsibilities includes supervision and management of TTI’s inspection team, safety directives, execution of contracts, cost estimating and project management. He also prepares tank inspection programs for his clients to achieve regulatory compliance with state and federal spill prevention regulations and mechanical integrity plans for Process Safety Management or preventative maintenance purposes. Mr. Nowicki is proficient with numerous inspection methodologies specified by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), including Ultrasonic Thickness (UT Level 2), Acoustic Emission (AE Level 2), Liquid Penetrant (PT Level 2), Magnetic Particle (MT Level 2) techniques, and Visual Inspection (VT Level 2).

Mr. Nowicki graduated from Penn State University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Geosciences. Mr. Nowicki is an American Petroleum Institute (API) 653 certified Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector and a Steel Tank Institute (STI) SP001 Tank Inspector. Additionally, Mr. Nowicki holds the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) IAF/IAM certification to perform inspections on field fabricated and shop manufactured Aboveground Storage Tanks in the State of Pennsylvania. Mr. Nowicki is an active member of the ASTM International a member of ASTM Technical Committee on Non-Destructive Testing, and a member of Pennsylvania Chemistry and Industry Council (PCIC), also representing PCIC on the Storage Tank Advisory Committee for PADEP.

Timothy Popp
Vice President of Consulting

Mr. Popp is Vice President of the Consulting Division and responsible for evaluation and continued progress of business strategies and development, overseeing financial objectives, operational performance and personnel management. He oversees and provides guidance for the Environmental Consulting, Industrial Hygiene and EH&S departments, and continues to focus on client needs, providing technical direction and project supervision. Mr. Popp’s expertise includes: Indoor Air Quality Assessments, Site Discharge Investigations, Soil & Groundwater Remedial Actions, Mold Investigation & Remedial Action, ASTM Phase I & II Investigations, Vapor Intrusion Investigations, Asbestos, Lead Paint, Environmental Training, Specification Development, Hazardous Material Survey & Disposal and Emergency Response. At TTI, Mr. Popp has served as Project Manager, and Division Director. Prior to TTI, Mr. Popp served as an Environmental Specialist for Northeastern Analytical Corporation.

Mr. Popp holds a BS in Environmental Studies from Buxton University. Mr. Popp maintains an EPA Asbestos Building Inspector Certification and NJDEP UST License. Mr. Popp is an active member of the Environmental Bankers Association (EBA).

William Stafford
Director of Tank Management

As Director of Tank Management, Mr. Stafford is responsible for the management of storage tank and site remediation services. Mr. Stafford’s responsibilities include the supervision of TTI’s construction staff, implementation of technical specifications, execution of contracts, cost estimating and selection of vendors. Mr. Stafford is directly involved with the development and implementation of TTI’s safety procedures. Mr. Stafford’s expertise includes: Underground and Aboveground storage tank installations, removals and modifications, complex UST removals in dense urban settings and coastal centers requiring extensive shoring and dewatering applications, Brownfield projects involving Federal and State regulators and national developers, customized fueling stations and large concrete secondary containment systems for tank farms, Cathodic protection systems, plant decommissioning, and large scale soil & groundwater remediation. Prior to TTI, Mr. Stafford performed commercial and industrial electrical installation and maintenance services as a field electrician.

Mr. Stafford earned an AA in Business from Gloucester County College and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Chadwick University. Mr. Stafford maintains numerous certifications including American Petroleum Institute (API) 653, API 570, Steel Tank Institute (STI) SP001 Tank Inspector, American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) tank certifications.

Karen Buniak
Federal Program Manager

Karen Buniak serves as a Federal Program Manager and provides business development for TTI’s Contracting Division and Technical Testing & Inspection Division Ms. Buniak is responsible for business opportunities for Federal, State and private sector clients. Ms. Buniak procures work with the Federal Government as a Prime and Sub-Contractor using TTI’s Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) designation. Her role is to identify contract opportunities, coordinate proposals, negotiate agreements and contracts and act as contract administrator on large contract vehicles. Ms. Buniak manages all phases of business development from the pre-solicitation through the award process. She has a working knowledge of FAR requirements in regards to contracting and is well versed in bonding and insurance related issues. Prior to TTI, Ms. Buniak had experience as Project Manager Supervisor and Sales Manager with the following environmental laboratories NAC, NyTest and AEN.

Ms. Buniak earned a BA in Humanities with a concentration in Economics from Rowan University and is currently pursuing a Master in Marketing from Rowan. Ms. Buniak is a Director on the Board of Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Philadelphia Post and holds the position of President for Philadelphia Post, and is a member of the SAME National Business Council. Ms. Buniak is also a member of Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP).

Susan Thames
Associate Director

Susan Thames is Associate Director for TTI and serves as a business development specialist for TTI Environmental. She manages all phases of procurement from pre-qualifications, proposals and bids and negotiations through the award process. Ms. Thames seeks business opportunities with federal, state and county agencies. She develops partnerships with private clients including architects, engineers, financial institutions and other environmental firms. Ms. Thames is the program manager for TTI’s contracts for public utilities, school districts and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Thames is knowledgeable about regulations encompassing environmental compliance in relation to tanks, asbestos, lead, mold, groundwater, soil and OSHA regulations. Ms. Thames also maintains knowledge of contract requirements with FAR regulations and government purchasing agreements.

Ms. Thames holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Lock Haven University. Ms. Thames is an active member of numerous organizations including the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) New Jersey Past Post President (2013-2015), New Jersey Association of School Business Officials (NJASBO) Associate Business Members President (2017-2018), New Jersey Schools Buildings and Grounds Association (NJSBGA), and the Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP). She was also an Honorary Commander for the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and active with  Homes for Our Troops.

Strength and longevity is demonstrated by many staff members who has been with the company over 20 years.
