Last week, Patricia Stock, Director of Inspections and EHS Manager , delivered Hazwoper training to SUNY ESF ERE (The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry – Environmental Resource Engineering) students, encompassing both undergraduates and graduates. As the chairperson of the ERE Advisory Council, Pat was proud that TTI could provide this invaluable class to our students free of charge, empowering them with essential knowledge on hazardous waste sites, enhancing their entry-level skills, and establishing a strong foundation in safety and environmental practices. The training covered diverse topics such as regulations (EPCRA, CERCLA, RCRA), confined space entry, decontamination, toxicology, ground water remediation, PPE, and more. The training took place at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, NY.
Patricia has chaired ERE since November 2022. ERE provides strategic consultation, professional networking, information exchange, and resource development to assist the ERE Department achieve its mission and provide teaching, research and service to advance engineering practices and meet the needs of the world. The Advisory Council handles duties such as supporting assessment of learning outcomes in ERE’s ABET-accredited BS program, sponsoring student-oriented panel discussions related to engineering practice, participating in ESF Career Fairs, engaging in engineering design projects and service learning projects, and promoting the development of ERE and SUNY ESF.
