TTI’s industrial hygienists and technicians provide a full range of IH & IAQ inspections, testing and analytical services to our clients. TTI is a leader in developing practical, effective solutions to asbestos project management, investigation, risk assessment, and abatement design and project oversight.

Our nationwide presence provides us with an ample understanding of state and local regulations across the country. TTI professionals are fully trained and licensed with the USEPA, numerous states, New York City and the City of Philadelphia in asbestos-related matters. Our professionals are versed in Federal, EPA and OSHA regulations and various state regulations governing asbestos inspections, abatement, and management. TTI is also experienced in the application of AHERA regulations, and can provide complete asbestos management planning, required personnel training and asbestos inspections to ensure safety as well as compliance with EPA regulations.

Our staff conducts asbestos investigations, develops abatement design specifications and monitors response actions. TTI’s team can provide turnkey services or can assist with the identification and management of qualified contractors, negotiation of bids and contracts, and supervision of the abatement scheduling. We maintain a network of professionals that allows us to provide quick response in emergency situations. TTI also provides training for personnel involved in facilities maintenance and monitoring.

The presence of asbestos can pose health issues and legal challenges to corporations, schools and facilities management firms. We understand the importance of minimizing disruptions and inconvenience to building occupants during abatement activities. Our staff works towards practical solutions, incorporating state-of-the-art processes and equipment, to achieve cost effective and timely completion while meeting all applicable regulations and standards.

Lead Based Paint

TTI offers comprehensive Lead-Based Paint (LBP) assessment, testing, abatement design, and clearance inspections.

Early detection for lead based paint and routine inspections will ensure peace of mind and avoid major health concerns from lead. TTI can assess the extent and condition of LBP; if a hazards exist, TTI will develop a maintenance program to prevent future deterioration, or design a thorough stabilization plan to safely stabilize and effectively manage the LBP risks and achieve compliance with applicable regulations.

TTI can facilitate LBP abatement bid request preparation, solicitation and evaluations of competitive bids, and management of contractors. We are experienced in managing projects and will provide project oversight to ensure that work is performed in accordance with regulations and the abatement design while meeting budget and scheduling goals.

We maintain a staff of fully trained and licensed personnel who perform work with our own XRF Analyzer. TTI has thorough knowledge of lead-based paint regulations at the local, state, and federal levels as a result of our broad experience completing nationwide projects for corporate, school, private and public sector clients.


Indoor Air Quality concerns result from a variety of sources; from improperly working building components, contamination via animal or insect infestation, poor building design, or water intrusion due to improper installation of HVAC or water systems, leaks in roofs or other building components, or catastrophic water events. From Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to microbial growth, it is of vital important to maintain the indoor environment to protect the health and safety of occupants.

TTI has completed hundreds of IAQ evaluations in all types of buildings and occupational settings and is aware of the discretion and clear communication required to manage IAQ situations. TTI can provide detailed building inspections throughout from basements to attics, including HVAC systems, sump pumps, roofs, and building drainage systems. Our resources allow us to respond immediately to IAQ concerns for our clients. TTI’s expertise also enables us to assist in the development of bid documents, solicitation of bids, and subsequent evaluation of contractors.

TTI employs surface wipe, vacuum, air, and bulk sampling methods to test air and surfaces for microorganisms such as mold and bacteria, as well as testing for endotoxins, mycotoxins, or VOCs. TTI maintains an inventory of state-of-the-art equipment to quickly and accurately pinpoint the IAQ problem, reducing time and costs. Our equipment allows us to detect and measure carbon dioxide and monoxide, relative humidity, dust, spores, VOCs, moisture, and airborne particulates. TTI utilizes nationally accredited microbiological laboratories to analyze samples for microbial identification and quantification. After the collection of visual and analytical data, TTI can develop an effective and practical solution to solve the IAQ problem.
