TTI Environmental’s Laboratory Certification continues to be renewed (now extended to June 30, 2022). Originally certified in January 2016, TTI met the requirements set forth in the New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC) 7:18 (Regulations Governing the Certification of Laboratories and Environmental Measurements) and then was certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Office of Quality Assurance as a State Certified Environmental Laboratory.
Certification status is contingent upon continued compliance with the standards of performance, including but not limited to standards pertaining to facility conditions, equipment and supplies, personnel, quality assurance and quality control, data reporting and data maintenance. Compliance with NJAC 7:18 assists laboratories in meeting the data quality requirements of State regulatory programs with regard to accuracy, precision, completeness, comparability, and representativeness. These rules regulate sample collection (acute toxicity testing only), handling, preservation, and analysis. Laboratories shall produce data with known quality assurance and quality control procedures, and in accordance with approved techniques and reference methods.
This certification approves TTI to collect parameters associated with the “analyze immediately” category; including pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen, and with the inorganic parameter category; including turbidity, and specific conductance. TTI maintains this certification that is required to perform Low Flow Purging and Sampling, in accordance with the NJDEP Low Flow Purging and Sampling Guidance.
