TTI is seeking a full-time Indoor Sciences Field Technician to join our Industrial Hygiene Division.
Ideal candidates for Northern NJ or NYC Metro should reside in those regions. Candidates from surrounding areas are encouraged to apply as well.
This is a remote position – you will be working from home and in the field with occasional trips to TTI’s Moorestown HQ office. This position offers opportunity for growth in the building science consulting, indoor sciences, and industrial hygiene career fields.
Responsibilities
• Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality
• Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
• Perform detailed surveys requiring attention to specific building components and systems
• Collect project details requiring excellent note taking
• Conduct on-site oversight of abatement projects and collection of samples
• Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
• Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
Skills/Qualifications
• Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential
• Exceptional safety and quality awareness
• Exhibit clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
• General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
• Willingness to learn, receive training, work in a fast-paced environment, and obtain various certifications
Requirements
• Minimum years of experience: 0-3
• High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma
• Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science is preferred
• Must be able to carry up to 30lbs of equipment and use ladders
• Some travel required
• Must be willing to work limited weekends and second shift
• Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening and physical
• Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Shift: Day and evening hours with occasional weekend work and overtime hours if desired.
