TTI is seeking a full-time Indoor Air and Asbestos Safety Technicians (AST) to join our Industrial Hygiene Division.
Ideal candidates for Northern NJ/NYC Metro should reside in such regions. Candidates from surrounding areas are encouraged to apply as well.
This is a remote position – you will be working from home and in the field with occasional trips to TTI’s Moorestown HQ office.
Responsibilities
• Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects
• Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint and indoor air quality
• Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos, lead based paint, right to know, and mold
• Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
• Technical report writing and interpretation of analytical data
• Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
• Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
Qualifications
• New Jersey Asbestos Safety Technician certification is required
• High School Diploma, mechanical/trade school and/or college degree preferred
• Current EPA/AHERA building inspector accreditation preferred
• Lead licenses preferred
Requirements
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience
• Willingness to work limited weekends and second shift
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
• Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential
• Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment and use ladders
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
• Willingness to learn, complete training, and obtain various certifications
• Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening and physical
• Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Shift: Day and evening hours with occasional weekend work and overtime hours if desired.
