Kristin Heimburger of TTI Environmental represented the Association and its Scholarship Committee on June 10, 2015 to present scholarships to the six students graduating from the Mercer High School who assisted the LSRPA during the 2014/2015 academic year. At a Scholarship and Awards Dinner hosted by the school, Kristin was there to recognize the work of Latoyah deGraffenreid, Dyomand Ickom, Keith Jennings, Rodney McRae, Jasmine Navas and Breon Tarver. Ms. Heimburger said that the evening was “inspiring and rewarding” for her and she was honored to represent the LSRPA and express thanks for LSRPA to the six graduates and to the school.
The LSRPA scholarships recognized the students’ document preparation and assembly program for the LSRPA. The students learned life skills toward future placement in offices, schools and other work environments. All six students were proud of their work for the LSRPA and thankful for the scholarships. Lisa Piotrowski and assisting faculty helped the students by setting up their work environments, teaching them the skills needed, recognizing each student’s strengths and placing them in work teams to assist one another, and coaching them through each project. This is the third year of the successful work and scholarship partnership between the LSRPA and Mercer High School.
TTI is proud to be a member of License Site Remediation Professional Association. The LSRPA is a non-profit professional membership organization established to provide information, education and technical resources to LSRPs, other professionals involved in environmental remediation in the State of New Jersey and students pursuing an education in a discipline related to environmental remediation.
