Job Opportunity: Environmental Associate 2 – NYC Metro Region

TTI is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full-time position for Environmental Associate 2 in the Environmental Consulting Division. Viable candidates must live in Northern NJ or one of the five boroughs of NYC. This position provides an opportunity for the right individual to grow and settle into higher level positions within the Environmental Consulting career field. This is a remote, out of office position – working from home and out of clients’ sites.

Responsibilities

  • Due diligence projects including TSAs, Phase I/II ESAs, RSRA in accordance with ASTM International standards
  • Performance or oversight of field activities and appropriate reporting for regulatory cases in Northern NJ and NY
  • Sampling of soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air
  • Reporting in accordance with state regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 4 years of direct regional experience in the environmental consulting field (direct experience with ATSM E1527)
  • B.S. in a related field such as Environmental Geology, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or Environmental Engineering
  • OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operator Certification a plus
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to self-manage in a remote position
  • Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with ability to write clear, concise and thorough environmental reports
  • Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites when required and maintain a clean driving record
  • Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must live in Northern NJ or one of the five boroughs of NYC

Compensation: $70,000-75,000 annually, commensurate with credentials, knowledge, education, and experience.
