INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE DIVISION – ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
TTI is seeking a full-time Environmental Specialist to join our Industrial Hygiene Division. This is a hybrid position – working in the field with occasional trips to TTI’s Moorestown office. This position offers opportunity for growth in the industrial hygiene, indoor sciences, and building science consulting career fields.
Responsibilities
- Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality
- Conduct detailed surveys requiring attention to specific building components and systems
- Conduct on-site oversight of abatement projects and collection of samples
- Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
- Collect project details requiring excellent note taking
- Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
- Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
- High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma
- Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science preferred
- Exhibit clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
- General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential
Requirements
- Minimum years of experience: 0-3
- Ability to commute to remote sites as needed
- Willingness to work limited weekends and second shift
- Ability to perform field work and meet physical demands
- Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment and use ladders
- Willingness to learn, complete training, and obtain various certifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening and physical
- Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Shift: Day and evening hours with occasional weekend work.
Compensation: $20-30 hourly commensurate with credentials, education, and experience.
CONSTRUCTION & CONTRACTING DIVISION – PETROLEUM TECHNICIAN
TTI is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Petroleum Technician in the Construction and Contracting Division. Knowledge of underground and aboveground petroleum equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, closures and general environmental construction, concrete, excavation, etc. is required. This is an on-site position – traveling and working in the field.
Responsibilities
• Prepare construction sites each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
• Follow all health and safety regulations and PPE requirements
• Assist foreman, supervisors, crew workers, as needed
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are maintained and stored properly
Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years’ field experience with petroleum equipment systems is required
• Experience in construction sites and ability to follow and demonstrate basic safety principles
• Experience with piping systems, spill, overfill and secondary containment systems
• Knowledge of monitoring systems, and fuel management systems
• At least 18 years old
• Construction OSHA 10 or OSHA HAZWOPER Certification is preferred
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Local and extended travel is required
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Local travel is required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screen and physical
• Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation:
- $25.00-$35.00 hourly, commensurate with credentials, knowledge, and experience plus Prevailing Wage.
