TTI is proud to support an educational training series at Groundwork Elizabeth in Elizabeth, NJ, for students ages 15–18 through our Bloomfield office, formerly Viridian Environmental.
Groundwork Elizabeth is a nonprofit dedicated to building healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities through education, youth development, urban agriculture, climate resilience, and environmental stewardship. We’re also proud to recognize that EPA has selected Groundwork Elizabeth for a Brownfields Job Training Grant, which will help train 75 students, place 40 in environmental jobs, and provide up to four federal certifications for participants.
It’s a great opportunity to introduce students to real-world environmental careers and the importance of sustainability, compliance, and community impact. TTI’s presentation dates and topics include:
- 7/13 — “Sustainable Development & Green Infrastructure” and “Intro to Forever Chemicals”
- 7/15 — “Overview of NJ’s LSRP Program & ISRA Basics” and “Historic Fill, Historically Applied Pesticides”, and NJDEP Online Tools
- 7/28 — “Environmental Assessments Phase I and Phase II”
- 7/29 — “Vendor Demonstrations – Tools of the Trade” and “Vapor Intrusion”
Our presenters include: Donna Switzer, Flint Kinkade, Andy Basehoar, Craig Durand, Kristin Heimburger, Dave DiPascale, and Rob Russel.
Thank you to Groundwork Elizabeth for hosting and for all you do to create positive change in the community.
