The International Day of Women and Girls in Science was established by resolution of the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The day recognizes the critical role women and girls play in science and technology, and it’s purpose is to promote full and equal access to participation in science for women and girls. TTI is proud to have such dedicated women promoting environmental protections and for such dedication and passions in their fields – Celebrating Kristin Heimburger, LSRP, Pat Stock, Renee Michalek, Shian Knouse, Mary McFarland, Sarah Neil Mulholland, Jennifer Polios and Maryellen Leotta.
This year’s 8th Assembly aims to bridge between the International Community and women in science through linking their knowledge and expertise and its applications in a systematic, critical way for the 2030 agenda and its 17 global goals bringing communities forward for sustainable and equitable development.
